Peonies and a monkey lamp?! This would just rock my world.
+ Finding my footing at my new old job. I'm so, so stoked to be where I'm at. SO stoked. The product is killer, the gals I now call my coworkers are kickass, and I'm finally the level of busy that I've been seeking for a good long while. It all just feels so darn right.
+ I think I've nailed my hair routine. I've always been super dense on knowing what to do with my mane, but now that I've found some great products via trial and error (and Birchbox!), I'm planning to share them with you this week.
+ I'm simultaneously embarrassed and amused to tell you this next one: About a month ago I found myself wallowing in cynicism and feelings of anti-dating/love/relationships, and I wanted to kick myself out of it. So what did I self prescribe? A Nicholas Sparks novel. I haven't read anything by N. Sparks in ages and ages, but I totally enjoyed The Choice. (The fact that all of his novels take place in the Carolinas and remind me of where I originally called home doesn't hurt either!)
+ I went on my first official date in six months. And it was refreshing!
+ I bought this new handbag on Friday, and I am totally head over heels.
+ I feel like I've found a great new group of girlfriends in my new coworkers. It's so nice to meet a fresh group of women that are all strong, independent, intelligent, and hysterical, all at the same time.
+ I finally got my first succulent for my kitchen table! I'd been jonesing for one for my place forever, and I finally picked one up at my local Farmer's Market in Studio City. (It was only $4!)
+ I'm officially o b s e s s e d with Refinery29. Along with this, this, this and this, it's one of my everyday go-to blogs.
+ I have an awesome new summer salad recipe, courtesy of my girlfriend Emily. I'll share it this week, so keep an eye out. (It has jicama in it!)
+ I'm going to start traveling again soon. First stops are looking like Florida and New York, followed soon after by Chicago. Ya'll get yourselves ready to be seeing me on the East Side very soon!
+ I did this fun scavenger hunt through downtown LA (check it out for the dates of when it'll be in your city!), and I biked this super fun 28-mile course from Silverlake to Venice Beach and back. I was zonked beyond belief and a good bit sunkissed after 28 miles, but we had a great time.
I hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend!
xoxo.
