Recipe: Fiesta Pinwheels

*Please pardon the partially empty tray.  I'm going to say that these are just so popular that they got snatched up as soon as I set them out!

This recipe is my cousin Nicole's.  She made them when I visited her back in July 2011 at her ranch in Montana (remember that trip?), and before I left, I got her to write the recipe down for me!  I like to make these for holiday gatherings or to bring to a party.  They aren't the healthiest, but they are really tasty, and with the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, I thought it'd be a good time to finally post the recipe!

Fiesta Pinwheels

Ingredients:
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup picante sauce (like Tapatio)
2 tbsp taco seasoning mix
1 pinch garlic powder
1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped black olives, drained
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chiles
1 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese
8 large flour tortillas

Directions:
Beat cream cheese, sour cream, picante sauce, taco seasoning, and garlic powder together in a small bowl until smooth.  Stir olives, chiles, and Cheddar cheese into the cream cheese mixture.

Spread about 1/2 cup of cream cheese mixture onto each tortilla.  Roll each tortilla like a jelly roll; wrap in plastic wrap.  Refrigerate for at least two hours.  Cut into one inch slices.
