I didn't intentionally go missing for the past week and change, but as we all know, sometimes life happens. This time, the happenings were:
++ Four days in Las Vegas working one of the Fashion Industry's biggest trade shows of the year. (Disclaimer: Fashion is not a glamorous world, no matter what you saw on "The Hills". And on that note, Whitney Port was, like, everyyywhere that I went in Vegas. I could not escape her and her one-man-film-crew. Does she have a new show or something that I haven't heard of? I couldn't figure out why she was still being filmed...someone please fill me in.)
++ I aged. Like officially, I had a birthday. I turned 26. It's really the first milestone that made my heard jerk back and forth a little bit and go, "Errrr?" (Think Tim Taylor from Home Improvement.) I mean, really, how the hell did I get to this point already?
++ And the real ring-dinger as to my silence: I broke my laptop. Mhm. I dropped my dear, sweet, fairly new (four months old?) laptop two weeks ago, and I cracked a little part off near where the charger plugs into the device. All was fine until I got home from Vegas, tried to plug in to charge, and the laptop wouldn't take charge. After a failed trip to Best Buy (with my warranty, they cited a two week turn-around...no can do, my friends. I rely on this puppy to get my grown-up work done every day.), I finally found a local guy who got it taken care of in 48 hours. Ka-ching.
So voila, here I am - post-Vegas, now 26, and with a laptop that feels brand new. Back and older better than ever.

and LOL @ Whitney Port post. I never bought into "The Hills". I wondered how much of the stuff they really "designed" anyways.

Ha, my laptop died when I turned 25, so you're so much better off...haha! And I cannot fill you in on Whitney. Didn't even know she still "existed". Yeah...go figure. I'm getting older.
