I spent the majority of 2012 in a reading slump. As much as I flew, as many nights as I spent traveling solo, even the fact that I live by myself - you would think that I would've been able to accomplish some serious reading. But no. Everytime I picked up a book, I'd either be bored by page 20, weirded out by page 125 (sorry, but I could never get myself into the Shades of Grey stuff), or I'd get through Book One of a trilogy and not be able to engross myself in Book Two (I'm looking at you, Katniss).
So when Chelsea over at Little Lessons in a Big City suggested starting a book club, I was all about it! (Cheers to a great idea, Chels!) While Chelsea is ironing out the details for the club's first book, tonight I picked up what has been called one of the best Fiction Books of 2012: Gone Girl. I've been curled up on the couch all night (fireplace going, twinkly lights on - ahhh so cozy), and I've been reading pretty much non-stop. Which was exactly the goal.
Have you read Gone Girl? Would love to hear of any great books you've read lately.

I haven't read Gone Girl yet and I think I'm the only person left in the world who hasn't.
I just finished Tuesdays With Morrie (only about ten years late) and now I'm reading 'Merde Actually' it's the second in the Merde series.

I've heard only amazing about gone girl. [and was one of my choices for the book club's first read. but so many have read it]. let me know what you think. I'd love to read it!
