A couple moments of note.

I missed making note of a couple of milestones recently.

Mid-December marked the end of the Fourth Year of Lacey in the City, and the beginning of my Fifth Year in this little blogging journey.  I can't believe all that's happened since I wrote that first post, sitting in my apartment in Los Angeles back in 2008, nervous as all hell about whether or not I could survive and thrive in my upcoming move to New York City.  And now here I sit, 4+ years later, writing this post from my apartment in Los Angeles, feeling beyond content to have come full circle.

Also, this time of year marks a solid one year that I've been back in California after my three years in New York.  The timeline of when I'd say I fully forfeited my East Coaster title and reclaimed my Californian identity is questionable (I was essentially bicoastal from early December to mid-February), but whenever people ask, I usually say that I moved back over the holidays.  So happy One Year Back to me. :)

I did a recap of my first three years blogging here.

It feels like it's been WAY longer than a year since you moved back! Feels kinda like you never left! We'll just block out that whole bi-coastal living situation though ;)

Seriously!? 5 years! My goodness! Connnngrats!!! That's pretty big. And you are so consistent. Idk how. Life gets in the way of my blogging frequently. And the first post is always the scariest! One last thing. Totally jealous of your life. Living in L.A., San Fran, NYC and seeing all but two states thus far in life. You are way ahead of your years my friend!
