I've been keeping a mental list over the past week of the things that I am really appreciating since I've been back on the West Coast, + thought I'd share a few of them. (Proximity to friends + family is obviously a given, so it is not mentioned below.)
* I have been driving around for the past week with the roof on my car open - day and night. The temperatures have been blissful here.
* I forgot how great the produce here is. I mean - I have not been eating much outside of produce over the past week: spinach, cucumbers, apples, bananas, bell peppers, squash, edamame...if it's green, I've probably eaten it this week!
* Accomodating special diets is easy. Practically everything has a gluten-free option at the stores here!
* Orange and pink and red sunsets like I watched yesterday. Enough said.
* My new bedroom is the size of my entire New York apartment. My bedroom. Not to mention that I also have a living room, a kitchen, a dining nook, a hallway(!), and a bathroom...all of which are not located in the same room.
* Did I mention it was 83 degrees here on Saturday?

so glad you are loving being back!! I am busy the next week or so, but we will FOR sure need to get together for a day of catch up!

I so couldn't agree with you more. Every single point is just right. Temps are awesome, you can follow your diets without a problem, and heck, hello the produce is soooo much better, and you know that this weekend it's going to be warm again?!
