The proposed Lexington, Kentucky memorial for the 49 passengers of Flight 5191.
For my dear friend, Amanda, who suffered the loss of her father, the much-loved Mr. Mike Finley, on August 27, 2006: I'm sending up extra special prayers for you and your loved ones today. Your Daddy was a wonderful man, forever cheerful and always smiling anytime I saw him. It's for certain that he's still smiling down on you today, so proud of the person that you work so hard to be.

Flight 5191?? As in Lexington, KY?? That's where we just moved from and I've lived in Lexington or close to there my whole life. That crash was such a dark day in our town's history and it hit our community so hard. There were so many amazing people who lost their lives that day, Mr. Finley among them. And sadly, there were so many things that could have happened differently to avoid that awful day. My prayers go up for your friend on this anniversary. It is STILL a difficult event to think about and I was not personally involved. I can only imagine how your friend feels. My thoughts and prayers are with her.
I'm so sorry for your friend's loss, but this is a lovely tribute. That memorial is absolutely beautiful.

I don't even know where to began. You are the sweetest person in the world and I am so blessed and thankful for your friendship.
Today was a hard day to wake up and face the world but through my faith and strength in God and the encouragement of Friends like you it helps so much to make it through days like today.
I can only hope that I am as good of a friend and encourgment to you.
