Top five signs that I might be getting old:

(1) I fell asleep last night at 730.  I got home from work, curled up with Seinfeld, Season 1 (because I had never seen it before - I know) and fell asleep halfway through the second episode.  I slept entirely through the night and did not wake up until 430 this morning.  What the heck.

(2) I've become all about the scenic route.  When I was staying in Boston a few weeks ago, every night on the way home, I changed Daniel the GPS to route me through the least amount of freeways.  It was normally about 9 pm by this time, so I wasn't avoiding rush hour traffic.  I just wanted to drive through the back roads with the windows down so that I could enjoy the countryside.

(3) I didn't know who Justin Beiber was until about a month ago.  And I still don't understand his hair situation.

(4) I've become a Vitaminaholic.  I currently have no less than 7 types of vitamin bottles in my bathroom cabinet:  Mutli-Vitamin, Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin B12 (boosts energy and eases asthma), Very Green (in case I don't get enough Veggies that day?), Omega-3 Fish Oil (to improve my horrible memory), Co-Enzyme Q10 (to really improve my horrible memory).  This is on top of me regularly drinking green tea, Pomegranate Juice, and Coconut Water.  I didn't consider the idea of regularly ingesting these energy/health-enhancing things when I was 21, let me tell you.

(5) My mom had her very first chat with me about marrying me off.  "Mom, I'm only 23.  I don't want to get married for another decade, if then."  "Well I mean, if you met someone this year, you could be engaged by the end of age 24, which is a fine age to be engaged.  And then you don't have to be married until you are 25, which is a fine age to be married."  (Did I mention that this was all a part of her pitch to get me to apply to be on The Bachelorette?)

In truth, I actually was trying to come up with ten reasons I'm starting to feel that I'm getting older, but I could only conjure up five.  Possibly because I'm only 23 and not anywhere near being old?  I'm thinking yes.  So here's a cheers to all of us stepping comfortably into our more mature habits while still making sure that we are cherishing every bit of our youth-

I love how your mom is trying to marry you off! And maybe it's better that you didn't know about Justin Bieber... Here's another mature habit- worrying about getting chilly and bringing a cardigan most places. I'm always chilly these days!

You are so far from old! But, don't you love when mom gets on your case about getting married. I have been dealing with that since college!!!

My mom has gotten to the point where she's trying to set me up too and just reminded me that she was married at my age (22!) haha

PS - your comment about carrie fisher might be my favorite comment EVER!

Great post! I have so been there with the 7:30 bedtime (ironic because when I was a kid I hated the fact that I had to go to bed when it was still light out!). :)

Thanks! That reminded me I need to take my vitamins today!

My mom and I had a very similar conversation. Well really it was more of a "you're never going to meet a nice guy to marry..." and I was all "ummm I just graduated from college like 5 minutes ago. Simmer down."

I think we should both continue to remain as ignorant to the Justin Bieber situation as we possibly can.

What happened to your Vitamin D?

OK, there was DEFINITELY a strong misunderstanding here! The only reason I said you should try out for the Bachelorette is they travel everywhere now! And they furnish them with a great wardrobe... I STRONGLY oppose the thought of you actually getting married until in your 30s. (Believe me, I tried it a couple of times while I was in the 20s-no, no, no)

You could save some money and next time just buy some One a Day Max vitamins. It's got just about everything except Omega3 and it's easier to remember one big pill than a lot of little ones.

Aww yes definitely cheers to beginning mature habits! As long as you're not going to bed at 7:30 every night! :)

I am 23, too and when I read your Vitamin list I wondered why I didn't take so many because they sound kinda fabulous. Then again, I have a husband and a baby so I might be getting old without the vitamins.

I love this post by the way. And don't worry. I'm like an old person too. I fall asleep super early AND take naps throughout the day lol

My parents have been having marrying me off talks since I was in high school...ugh, it is so ridiculous. I kind of need a boyfriend first for that sort of thing, you know?
