One thing all New Yorkers can identify with is that the buildings here generally have canned air - whether it's heat or air conditioner, it is always excessive, there is rarely a happy medium, and it is controlled by the building so that you cannot alter the temperature yourself.
Therefore, I thought that I would share with you all that on this gorgeous New York day, while we are blessed with 80 degree weather and low humidity (thank goodness!), I am sitting at my desk eating lunch looking, well, basically like this....
There could be worse things though - I think I'd rather this than sweltering heat!
I hope everyone's having a great Friday and is as itchy as I am for the end-of-work-day bell to ring!!

I am sure itchy for the weekend and it isnt even lunch time here! I never get to wear cute summer dresses to my office either. We have TWO temperatures HOT and VERY COLD! My pregnant boss opts for VERY COLD. :(
Why are we even at work today? There is like NOTHING to do here right now and I'm going nuts!

why do they always try to freeze you out... it's hard enough being inside on days like this!!

The worst is in the winter when it becomes too hot to unction or even breath! Why do they have to be so freaken excessive about temperature control?
It's the same thing at my work! They have to blast the air conditioning so I can't even wear short sleeves when it is 85 degrees out! I think they do it on purpose to keep you alert at work!
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I lived in NYC right after college, but only lasted 6 months. I had studio apartment on the Upper East Side and the toilet was in a closet in the kitchen! It was an awesome experience to live there, but a far cry from the "farm" life I live in now! Sounds like a perfect place for you though!
