One of my Los Angeles faves, Miss JB, flew into New York yesterday for our crazy work week that we're about to begin. She, SJ, + I were all invited for rooftop drinks at one of our new friends shwanky downtown pads. Not ones to refuse a rooftop or a potentially fun time, we of course headed down.
First, we were on the private apartment patio with this view:
Then we decided to take our little party to the rooftop, where we watched a red moon rise...and oggled over these amazing views of Brooklyn + Manhattan!
The forefront bridge is the Brooklyn Bridge, and the next is the Manhattan Bridge.
The tiny building far in the distance, right in the middle of the photo that looks a bit taller than the rest is the Empire State Building. The building in the forefront on the left that's all lit up is City Hall.
I'm a walking tourist in my own city.
Fashion Market Week begins tomorrow, so it's been quite the busy week last week, and it will continue through next week (hence the lack of posts lately). I always love this crazy busy week though because I get to see all of my favorite out-of-town friends who work in LA + Chicago's Fashion Markets, and I get to see all of my fantastic customers!

Awesome! I was just at a dinner party on the rooftop of a hotel here, and even though it was only 7 stories up, I loved the views. There's something about feeling on top of the world...

it sounds like you have an amazing job. how does one (err...me) get a job like that? i've been with my friend to the Atlanta Fashion markets as a guest buyer and would LOVE to be on the other end.
This looks so amazing. What a fun time...how will you ever return to the west. Maybe you never will. I would have to have my bloody finger tips pried from NYC...true dat.
