On the agenda: Stranded at LAX.

I'm heading home to Los Angeles the day after tomorrow to get some Driver's License issues resolved (my license got stolen last month), and as frustrating as it is to have to travel 3,000 miles to the DMV to get everything taken care of, the silver lining of it all is that I get to see my family for a good few days!  I got to extend my trip through a few weekdays so that I can visit with my coworkers that are based in LA and get a bit of face time in our home office, which will be nice.

I'm really looking forward to a fun family weekend, including a family cookout at my sister and brother-in-law's place on Saturday and a family date on Friday night.  One of my fave New York restaurants, Cafe Habana, just opened their first West Coast location in Malibu last month, so we Griffmore Girls + Alberto will be hitting up ze 'Bu (that's Malibu for all you East Coasters) for some Guava Margaritas and some spicy Corn Cubano.

My little sister, LMG, however, managed to get me into quite the tizzy today when she conference called with our big sister, LR, to say that she changed her work shift for Friday to ensure she can go on our family date, which means that she is now working on Thursday.

Thursday.  The day that I fly in.  The day that she had promised she'd pick me up from the airport to take me to the DMV.  The day that LR and my mom are both working.  The day that I will now be figuring out how to use public transportation in a city of dedicated motorists and public transportation snobs.

Thanks, Little Sis.  You're officially NOT a genius.  And you WILL be buying me that Guava Margarita.
