Life's been busy lately. I finally got back from my two weeks of traveling between NY and the Midwest, and two days after my return, my mother flew in from South Carolina for a five week stay. She came for a scheduled surgery (which occurred on Monday), and is staying the next four weeks to recuperate, so I've been zigging and zagging around the city in the evenings this week to help my sisters in making sure my mom is set and comfortable.
Beyond that, I'm scrambling to fit in yoga classes, squeeze in a drink or two with friends, get in bed at a decent hour, and obviously to write even a word or two lately.
I'm totally ready for the holiday weekend to catch up. I've got a couple pool parties with family on the agenda, as well as completing a really awesome craft project for my two nephews (who are both scheduled to be born in December and January). Anything exciting planned in your neck of the woods?

By the way, I have a journal with quotes printed at the top of each page. A week ago, the quote made me think of you since it has to do with L.A.

It made me smile!
Is it just me, or was this the fastest summer ever? But that's what I guess happens when we're busy, busy, busy!
