This place is for rent!

You guys.  One of the favorite getaway weekends I ever had while living in New York was to a super impressive and awesomely decorated farmhouse right outside of Woodstock, New York.   My friend, Andrew, owns the eponymous Cottonwood, and I just have to share it with you, because for the first time ever, he is making it available to be rented out to visitors!

The details in the house are impeccable.  Andrew is a designer by trade, and his creative eye is evident from all of the special touches seen in each room.  From the antler chandeliers, the cow skin rug in the formal dining room, to the antiqued lighting fixtures and even the reclaimed hardware on the kitchen cabinets, you continuously stumble upon the coolest and most unique characteristics throughout the house.

Country-style kitchen - how quaint!

Formal dining room - I die for that table.

One of two bathrooms in the house.  This one has a gorgeous claw foot tub.

One of the four bedrooms - check out the squirrel in the antler chandelier!

I've been lucky enough to stay at Cottonwood twice in the past few years.  Weekends there are spent exploring the charming Upstate towns of Rhinebeck, Saugerties, Woodstock, and Kingston.  The shoppes in the towns have such character and really cool wares, and the restaurants in the vicinity offer up some of the best and most fun meals I've had, truly.  (John Varvatos was seated next to us at this restaurant for dinner one night!)

The farmhouse has four bedrooms, two baths, and can sleep 8.  If you are looking for a great getaway, I cannot rave enough about Cottonwood.  You can check out more details about and additional photos of Cottonwood here, and you can even get updates on Twitter (follow @CottonwoodNY) and Facebook.
