Longevity.

Ah, January.  On it's ninth day today, it still feels like a fresh beginning.

Post-holiday, I've been getting myself back into my regular yoga routine, even trying to up the goal from three classes per week to four per week.

One of my yoga teachers said in class, "You are only as strong as your back," which totally sent my mind spinning.  I'd never heard that before, but how true is it!?  And being that one of my personal fears about growing older is becoming stiff (this resolution came to be when the stiffness started to settle in me the day I turned 25, I believe), I am even more driven to meet my four classes per week goal.  I want to be limber and mobile, and I want to live a long and active life.  I want to be one of the 60-something women in class next to me, with amazing form and giving me a run for my money on my Downward Dog.

What are you doing today to ensure your personal longevity?

PS - This gal is amazing.  Maybe one day, I can do half of the stuff she's doing in this video.

I'm all about the stretching!
And isn't it funny how as soon as 25 rolls around, getting up from sitting on the floor because a much harder task.
