RIP, Blanche Devereaux

It's a sad night tonight to hear that the third of our four Golden Girls, Rue McClanahan, passed away today.  For as far back as I can remember, I always watched The Golden Girls with my Grandfather, curled up next to him on my living room couch.  I even recall one time as a silly seven- or eight-year-old asking my Grandfather if he had a crush on any of the ladies, since they were all about the same age.  (My Grandfather was 80% deaf, so he either didn't hear me, or decided to just ignore that question.)

While I was reading about her passing, I found this little passage, which I thought was funny:
"She had a pat answer when asked if she was like Blanche: 'Well, Blanche was an oversexed, self-involved, man-crazy, vain Southern belle from Atlanta — and I’m not from Atlanta.'"

I love her answer! So funny. She will be missed, but not forgotten.

She typified Southern Belles- hot, strong, and crazy! I think we all fit that perfectly!
