726 PM Missed call from my Mom.
1037 PM Text from my Mom: "Where are you? No hear for two days." (Was that a sentence, Momma?)
1038 PM Text from me to Mom: "I'm in bed."
1252 AM Awake still and unable to get back to sleep after texting my East Coast whereabouts to my West Coast Mom hours earlier, I decide to call her:
Mom: Hi sugar, what are you doing awake?
Me: Your texts woke me up.
Mom: Those were hours ago.
Me: I know. I'm still awake. Thanks.
Mom: Well I've been calling you for two days and you didn't answer, and I hadn't heard back from you.
Me: Momma, you have not been calling me for two days. I had no missed calls from yesterday and none from earlier today. You called me once tonight.
Mom: Nu-uh. I called you yesterday too.
Me: Ooookay, Mom. Well I'm glad we're talking now because I've missed you the last two days, seeing that I didn't answer the phone all those times you called.
Mom: Aw thanks sugar, I missed y---Oh, oh wait. Uh oh, Lost is back on, [slowing reducing her voice to a whisper] I've gotta go. I'll talk to you tomorrow, sweetheart. Sweetdreamsloveyoubye!
