Spotlight: The High Line

The High Line is one of the latest New York obsessions.

Originally built as an above ground train route on the west side of the city and through the now-super-trendy Meatpacking District, it was abandoned in the 1980's, and is in the midst of a serious make-over.  The tracks are being remade into an above ground park that New Yorkers and its visitors can frequent to take in the sights of New Jersey (hello, Hoboken), saunter from 34th Street down to Gansevoort Street and to soak up the sun.
