I know this picture of Miss AS is super similar to the one below of MM, but I saw it, and couldn't resist showing you that my taste in friends is consistent: they generally tend to be fun, flirtatious, and fearless. AS is no exception to that rule, and on her birthday today (the big 2-3!) I would like to give a little shout out to the girl who constantly inspires me to look inside myself for the real beauty, to constantly think harder and deeper, and to be more sensitive and aware and appreciative of everything and everyone that I encounter. She's an adventurer by nature, and I've never met someone with a more constant smile. I end up, at one point or another, sharing with all of my new East Coast friends the story of my and AS's friendship, and when I do, I always say the same thing: "She's the most beautiful person I've ever met- both inside and out," and I truly mean it.
I wish that I could be there to ring in your latest year, but the 3,000 miles between San Francisco and New York are definitely upsetting that wish today! I hope you're having the most fabulous time taking in the prospect of all the amazing and wonderful times that are coming your way for the next 365 days. xoxox
